Flower Four from the about to be released Flower Series helps the viewer understand what I mean when I say "Every layer of a painting influences every other layer". The final painting has at least two newer layers; the first are paint-tube lines of darkening deep purple, and the second is the defined column of white pattern.
Each of the Flowers followed a similar process. To start the first layer, click the ZERO button at the top of the orange column:
